SNCF International, a fully-owned subsidiary of SNCF, markets the French railways' experience to rail networks and operators throughout the world. It can act at any stage in the development of a railway project, from preliminary design to commissioning.
Its purpose is to sell railway expertise in all areas, from operations to maintenance. All the consultancy assignments abroad are fulfilled by experts with a long career on the French Railways. It also provides assistance in allocating concessions for rail networks or routes, and in overall project management. SNCF International also provides staff training for the personnel of foreign railways, in their own country or in France. All railway assistance contracts outside France are carried out by experts from SNCF.
SNCF is the world-class shop window for French railway manufacturers. High speed, electrification, signaling, telecommunications, and engineering structures are all examples of French successes. SNCF International works closely with all of SNCF, assembling the diverse competencies to respond to calls for tenders and bring together experts for foreign assignments. It also engages in partnerships with leading French industrial groups to take on ever bigger challenges and meet with ever greater success on export markets.
