During the interns' visit, international experts from the Stations and Long Distance Passenger Services and Regional Divisions shared their experience in these areas.
SNCF International renewed its Franco-Chinese training cooperation agreement for the years 2008/2010. The agreement enables engineers specialising in rail transport to extend their knowledge and also to explore new High Speed Rail technologies.
Ansaldo won a contract in China to supply signalling equipment on the rail between Shijiazhuang and Taiyuan, south-west of Beijing - the so-called ShiTai programme. In connection with this agreement, Ansaldo requested SNCF International assistance in training Chinese technicians in procedures for handover of signalling equipment at stations and signal boxes along the line. SNCF International assigned several experts to the task, which was completed in February 2009.
